Environmental Best Management Practices

Operations at Seaspan and its affiliates conform to internal Environmental BMPs. These BMPs are in addition to various standard operating procedures that are in place across the company.

Seaspan's Environmental BMPs provide awareness and guidance to all of our employees, help ensure compliance with legislation, and act to mitigate environmental impact:

  • BMP - 01: Hazardous Materials Management
  • BMP - 02: Waste Management and Recycling
  • BMP - 03: Spill Prevention and Response
  • BMP - 04: Site Management and Housekeeping
  • BMP - 05: Wildlife Management

We communicate our Environmental BMPs to our suppliers, contractors, and customers. By doing this, we remain accountable to one of our Core Values - Care for the Environment.
